These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our repair services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Terms

Leeds Computer & Laptop Repair ("we", "us", "our") provides computer and laptop repair services to customers in Leeds and surrounding areas. By engaging our services, you ("customer", "you") agree to the following terms:

• All repair quotes are free and provided after diagnostic assessment
• Repairs are carried out by qualified technicians using appropriate tools and methods
• We reserve the right to refuse service if deemed necessary
• Service times are estimates and may vary depending on parts availability

2. Payment Terms

• No Fix, No Fee: If we cannot fix your device, you pay nothing for the repair attempt (diagnostic fee may apply)
• Payment Methods: We accept cash, card payments, and bank transfers
• Deposits: A deposit may be required for expensive parts or custom work
• Full Payment: Due upon collection of repaired device unless otherwise agreed
• Cancellation: If you cancel after parts have been ordered, you may be liable for the cost of non-returnable parts

3. Warranty

We provide a 90-day warranty on all repairs and replacement parts, subject to the following conditions:

• Warranty covers defects in workmanship and faulty replacement parts
• Warranty does not cover physical damage, liquid damage, or misuse after repair
• Warranty is void if device is tampered with or repaired by another party
• Software-related issues have a 30-day warranty
• Data recovery services are not covered by warranty

4. Data and Privacy

Important: You are responsible for backing up your data before bringing your device for repair.

• We are not responsible for data loss during repair
• Data backup is recommended and available as an additional service
• We respect your privacy and will not access personal files unless necessary for repair
• All customer data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• Devices left uncollected for over 90 days may have data securely wiped

5. Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair service provided:

• We are not liable for data loss or business interruption
• We are not liable for pre-existing faults or damage
• Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the service
• We exercise reasonable care but cannot guarantee successful repair in all cases
• Acceptance of repair acknowledges these limitations

6. Uncollected Devices

Devices not collected within 30 days of notification will incur a storage fee of £5 per week. Devices uncollected after 90 days will be deemed abandoned and may be disposed of or sold to recover costs. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before disposal.

7. Third-Party Parts

We use high-quality replacement parts from reputable suppliers. Unless specifically requested, parts may be third-party equivalent parts rather than original manufacturer parts. All parts come with our standard warranty.

8. Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate description of the problem
• Backup all important data before repair
• Remove all passwords or provide them for testing purposes
• Collect device promptly after notification
• Pay for services as agreed

9. Dispute Resolution

If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us immediately. We will make every effort to resolve the issue fairly. If a resolution cannot be reached, you may seek independent arbitration or legal recourse under UK law.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
