Restore All-Day Battery Life
Is your MacBook dying after 1 hour? Does it shut down at 20%? It's time for a new battery. We replace the glued-in lithium cells in modern MacBooks with high-capacity, safe equivalents.
The 'Service Recommended' Fix
batteries are consumables. After 500-1000 charge cycles, they degrade. You might notice your trackpad bulging (swollen battery) or the 'Service Recommended' warning in your menu bar.
The Challenge: Since 2012, Apple has glued batteries into the top case. Removing them incorrectly can puncture the cells and cause a fire.
We use a specialized chemical solvent to dissolve the adhesive safely, allowing us to remove the old battery without bending the aluminum chassis. We then install a high-quality replacement with new adhesive strips.
Our Battery Services
1. Battery Replacement
We swap your dead battery for a fresh one. We calibrate the new battery to ensure macOS reads the percentage correctly (0% to 100%).
2. Swollen Battery Removal
DANGER: If your trackpad is cracking or the laptop won't sit flat, your battery is swelling with gas. This is a fire hazard. Bring it to us immediately. do not charge it.
3. Power Management Fix
Sometimes the battery is fine, but the Mac won't charge. This can be the Charging Port (USB-C/MagSafe) or the charging chip (ISL/Intersil) on the logic board. We diagnose this for free.
Cycle Counts Matter
Every time you drain 100% of your battery, that's one cycle. MacBooks are rated for 1000 cycles.
Once you pass this, stability drops. The Mac might throttle the CPU speed to prevent the battery from crashing, making your laptop feel slow.
- Free Cleaning: While the battery is out, we clean the fans and vents, helping your Mac run cooler.
- Recycling: We responsibly recycle your old lithium battery.
Warning Signs
Check your battery health:
- Touchpad Stiffness: Hard to click? Battery might be swelling under it.
- Random Shutdowns: Turns off at 30% or 40%.
- Overheating: Chemical degradation creates excess heat.
