Lines on Screen?
Vertical stripes, flickering bars, or a distorted image? It might be the screen, the cable, or the GPU. We find out which.
It's Not Always the Screen
Lines on a screen can be caused by three things: a broken LCD panel, a loose/damaged video cable (LVDS/eDP), or a failing Graphics Card (GPU).
We isolate the issue. If the lines change when you move the laptop lid, it's usually just a cable (a cheap fix!). If the lines are static, it's likely the panel. We save you money by not replacing expensive parts unnecessarily.
Common Symptoms
Single Vertical Line
A thin colored line (often pink or green) usually means the TAB bonding on the screen is failing.
Flickering Logic
If the image jumps or flickers when typing, the video cable might be pinched in the hinge.
Artifacts
Weird square patterns or blocks? This is often a sign of overheating graphics memory, not a bad screen.
