Expert Thermal Paste Replacement
The "toothpaste" inside your laptop is the most critical component you've never seen. It transfers heat from your £300 CPU to the fan. When it dries out, your laptop dies. We replace it with premium high-performance compounds.
Why Factory Paste Fails
Laptop manufacturers like HP, Dell, and even Apple use cheap, mass-produced thermal paste. It is designed to last just long enough to get through the warranty period (1-2 years). After that, it turns into a hard, chalky substance.
Why does this matter? Hard paste creates air gaps. Air is an insulator, not a conductor. This means heat gets trapped inside the silicon chip instead of moving to the heatsink. Your fans spin at 100% speed, but the air coming out is cold because the heat isn't being transferred!
We solve this by dismantling the cooling system, chemically cleaning the copper dies, and applying a thin, perfect layer of high-end paste.
Our Paste Menu
1. The Standard (Arctic Silver 5)
The industry standard for reliable, long-term cooling. It contains 99.9% pure silver and is non-conductive. Perfect for office laptops and everyday MacBooks.
2. The Gamer (Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut)
For high-end gaming rigs and workstations. This paste has extremely high thermal conductivity (12.5 W/mk). It doesn't cure, meaning it stays effective even at 80°C+. Recommended for i7/i9 and RTX graphics cards.
3. Liquid Metal (Conductonaut)
Warning: Expert Use Only. This is a Gallium alloy that is electrically conductive. It offers the best possible cooling (-20°C drop) but risks shorting the motherboard if applied incorrectly. We offer this for extreme enthusiasts only.
When Do I Need This?
Watch out for these signs that your paste has expired.
- High Idle Temps: If your laptop sits at 60-70°C doing nothing (just Windows desktop), the paste is gone.
- Cold Air Exhaust: If the fan is screaming loud but the air coming out of the vents is barely warm, the heat is trapped at the source.
Included Services
We don't just squirt paste and close it.
- Clean: Isopropyl alcohol cleaning of old residue.
- Dust: Full fan and fin dust removal.
- Benchmark: Stress test to prove temp drop.
Paste FAQs
Stick with the best.
How often should I re-paste?
For standard office laptops, every 3-4 years is fine. For gaming laptops that run hot (80°C+), we recommend every 18-24 months to maintain peak performance.
Does this void my warranty?
Technically, opening the chassis can void some manufacturer warranties. However, in the UK/EU, "Warranty Void if Removed" stickers are often legally unenforceable unless you damage something. If your laptop is out of warranty, you have nothing to lose.
Can I use liquid metal?
Only if your heatsink is nickel-plated copper. Liquid metal eats aluminum heatsinks (corrosion). We will check your heatsink material before agreeing to use liquid metal.
