RAID Recovery Specialists Leeds
Is your business server down? Did a drive fail in your RAID 5 array, and now the whole volume is offline? We provide critical 24/7 data recovery services for Leeds businesses. We recover data from Dell PowerEdge, HP Proliant, Synology NAS, and more.
We Get Your Business Back Online
When a server fails, every hour of downtime costs you money. We understand the pressure. Our lab in Headingley prioritizes RAID cases. We can clone the drives simultaneously to speed up the process.
Do not attempt to "Rebuild" blindly. If a second drive has failed or has bad sectors, forcing a RAID rebuild will destroy the volume permanently. Bring the drives to us first. We clone them to healthy image files and perform the virtual rebuild in software, which is 100% risk-free.
We serve law firms, architectural practices, and manufacturing companies across Leeds and the West Yorkshire region.
Configurations We Support
1. RAID 0 (Striped)
Often used by video editors for speed. If one drive fails, the whole volume breaks. We recover the data by imaging the good drive and repairing the bad drive just enough to extract the "stripes".
2. RAID 5 (Parity) & RAID 6
The standard for business servers. Can survive one disk failure. If two fail, it goes offline. We recover the failed drives and mathematically calculate the missing data using the parity blocks.
3. NAS Devices (Synology / QNAP)
These use Linux-based filesystems (EXT4 or BTRFS). We are experts in Linux RAID assembly. Even if the NAS unit itself is dead, we can mount the drives in our specialized rig to read the data.
Security & Protocol
Your client data is safe with us.
- NDA: We are happy to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements for GDPR compliance.
- Offline Lab: Our recovery servers are air-gapped from the internet to prevent any external access to your data.
The Rebuild Process
How we do it:
- Label: Mark every drive's position (Slot 0, Slot 1...).
- Clone: Image every drive to our server.
- Emulate: Use software to determine stripe size, rotation, and parity offset.
- Extract: Copy files to a new external drive.
Server Recovery FAQs
Leeds Business Critical Info.
How fast can you do it?
For Emergency cases, we work 24/7. Most RAID recoveries are completed within 48-72 hours. Cloning 10TB+ drives takes time, but we use high-speed SAS imagers to go as fast as physics allowing.
Do you need the controller card?
Usually no. We recover the data from the drives themselves. However, if it's a very old or proprietary RAID card, bringing the card can help speed up the parameter detection.
What if I swapped the drives?
If you pulled the drives out and put them back in the wrong order, the RAID map is scrambled. DO NOT turn it on. We can computationally determine the correct order in our lab.
