Stuck on "Automatic Repair"?
It's the nightmare of every PC user. You turn on your computer, see the spinning dots, and then... nothing. Or worse, it says "Diagnosing your PC" and loops forever. Don't panic. We can fix the boot sector without wiping your files.
Why Windows Won't Load
About 80% of the computers brought to our Leeds workshop with this issue stem from a failed Windows Update. The update tries to install, fails halfway, and leaves the system files in a mismatched state. Windows tries to "roll back" but gets stuck.
The "Reinstall" Trap: Most generic repair shops will tell you permission to wipe the drive is required. This is lazy. We take the time to mount your drive externally, scan the file system, and manually repair the Boot Configuration Data (BCD).
We successfuly recover 95% of boot loops without deleting a single photo or document.
Our Repair Process
1. Safe Mode Injection
Using specialised tools, we force the computer into Safe Mode or the Recovery Environment (WinRE). This allows us to access the Command Prompt even if Windows won't load the desktop.
2. BCD/MBR Rebuild
The Master Boot Record (MBR) or EFI partition is like the map your computer uses to find Windows. If this map is corrupted, the PC gets lost. We simply redraw the map using `bootrec` commands.
3. Update Removal
If a specific update caused the crash, we use the DISM tool to identify and uninstall that specific package (KB update) via the command line, allowing the system to boot normally.
Hard Drive Failure?
Sometimes, a boot loop isn't software. It's the hard drive dying.
- Symptoms: Clicking noises, or the boots loop getting slower and slower each time.
- The Fix: We clone your failing drive to a new SSD immediately. Because we clone it sector-by-sector, your Windows comes back exactly as it was, but faster and stable.

Boot Loop FAQs
Getting past the loading screen.
Will my desktop icons change?
No. Our goal is to repair the "engine" of Windows while leaving the "interior" (your files, wallpaper, icons) untouched. When we succeed, it looks exactly like it did yesterday.
How long does it take?
Simple corrupted updates can be fixed in 1-2 hours. If the file system is heavily damaged (CHKDSK required), it might take overnight to scan.
Can I use System Restore?
You can try! But often, modern Windows disables System Restore by default to save space. If you don't have a restore point, bringing it to us is the next best step.
